I have always loved the idea of “letter carrying” in the first century Christian Church communications. The early church lived and thrived in very precarious times . Since Jesus’ resurrection and ascension, the newly created Christian movement began to grow and needed leadership and communication to keep it growing.

The Disciples of Jesus, the Twelve and others had the word’s of Jesus and the Holy Spirit to lead them. Yet questions and situations still arose. These situations needed clarifying so letters were written to teach, and affirm and correct those who embraced Jesus, yet they had not quite yet let Jesus embrace them in total.

These letters as they are known in the New Testament helped people, Christians and the curious want- to- be believers in how to best live and serve their present age. The writers or speakers were not claiming to be professional Christians. They were as Luther said “beggers telling other beggers where to find bread”. They were only sharing with others what they had seen and experienced personally. We Christians and seekers are Children of God still seeking a closer relationship with our eternal savior.

My reason for starting this is to send out encouragement, reminders and prayers for any and all who follow Jesus, and as such has tangled with the spirit of this world and have struggled with the why and the how of the cruelty of people, especially church people. It can inflict more damage and pain on or toward those who truly mean well even if they do their best. Our world has or is in the process of divorcing themselves from the very grace we have personally experienced in our own lives. I speak of the amazing grace and love that we ourselves have experienced in our open lives. We traded God’s Grace and Love for suspicion and performance- measurements. Jealousy of Grace received has worked to undo anything Heaven sent from our midst.

We need Grace, free grace from God and kindness, simple kindness to show our world that we remember the Grace of God in Jesus our Lord. I will try to keep up offering what help I can give, if anything worthwhile to help someone else! Praises Be to The Healer of my life!
